Anastatia Spicer is a conceptual handweaver, seamstress and writer.

Her work is driven by the desire to imagine creative new ways of being in relation to one another, our environment and objects in our lives. This pedagogy guides Anastatia’s teaching, writing and art practice through entwining historical, philosophical and hands-on research regarding fibers role in our lives.

Her article, “Fibrous Depths: John Paul Morabito’s Woven Frottage,” was recently published in the Barnard College Journal of Art Criticism.
